Next Plot RP - Holidelay

Hey guys!

First, I want to say I'm absolutely blown away by how many folks have joined us in these few scant days since the forum opened. I've hardly been able to keep up with all the new threads and the buffet of fantastic troops who've dropped down onto Naris, and I'm excited to see how everything progresses as we roll out plot threads, which should hopefully both augment the comic's storyline and provide some additional context and information as to the mysteries of Naris and Nomen Rynn, and for those more interested in just indulging in good roleplay, a proper onslaught against the Tau.

Unfortunately, our first plot RP may need to wait another day or two, as we've got a bit caught up in the holidays and a party of this size will require some teamwork between the lot of us. Additionally, if you've multiple characters, we humbly request you choose one to participate with. The format will have us replying and dropping plot at certain intervals each day, so everyone has a chance to get a reply in.

What is the first plot RP? And will any of our characters make a cameo in the comic?

The first plot RP will be a mission out to check on the garrison at Fort Stultus, a bit from the original game that we won't have time to cover in the scope of the comic.

And absolutely, though mostly as background characters. I want to be able to work them in while I can without making casual readers feel like they're missing a joke that we're in on. There's some big battles coming up where we'll need troops, and I'll be trying to take what I can from here.

I'd read that there was a Fort Stultus earlier, and the name still gets me every time.

Will it be on new years day? A new year and at the same time the start of the first plot?

Also, great, now I got to put in time in describing my character better than it is now. Finally, something to do in my spare time.

The first might not be a bad idea, not a bad way to kick off the new year!

As for comic casting, for my own sanity, I'll make a thread in the near future where folks can choose to drop more detailed visual descriptions for cameo purposes.

In the meantime, I'll also try to start my own adventure as an experiment for all of us with a few rules. In my experience play-by-post system is great but requires a careful approach.
It will be great to have you blessing for this adventure and keeping an eye on it in case we may contribute with something useful.
