Seeing the psyker startled reaction to his touch made his blood run cold. Hearing his heart beat in his hears he would bow his head down and his own mind was racing for a reaction to his accidental offence "S-sorry m-ma'am. did'nt mean t-to bother ya" keeping his head bowed as he stepped back a little. as he quickly stuffed his scarf back into his armor. Chaining his thoughts to how at least it would help seal the area around his neck and helm a bit better then guilty. Feeling embarrassed and more than a little out of his league in more than a few ways he would busy himself with things he knew hoping that the important people around him would tell him what to do when the time came. Taking to study the stone around him. Stone he knew.

Captain Gaskell listened and looked thoughtful, "Now you're somewhere that has the time to try and assist with the symptoms, I hope we can be helpful." he tried to spot a common factor among the affected, "If it affects the blood, have you tried transfusions from folk who haven't been hit? Replacing the oil, so to speak?"
Gaz knew that in a well-prepared base, such things were possible to attempt. But it didn't sound like the guard had come from a well-prepared base.

Mari listened to Wilson’s tragic tale as it became bleeker. It was a sad, cruel, but not entirely unheard of in the galaxy at large. She could understand the response the command took in quarantining them and the men didn’t reveal if they had the resources to try to heal them so it was quite possible that doing this was the only option. Sometimes the lives of many needed to be sacrificed for the good of humanity; something she has personally witnessed. It was terrible that these men and women had to suffer like this and it was unlikely anything could help make up for what they already been through. However, the God-Emperor has not abandoned them for she was here now to help.

The Hospitaller looked over the patients as Wilson spoke on their conditions. It seemed that the only consistent symptom was coughing up blood, something the officer also seemed to have picked up on with his remark. As she waited for them to answer the question she took out some tools from her medical bag. First she inserted a few vials into her arm mounted Churigeon’s tools before taking out a hand held diagnoster.

“Are you familiar with how to use this, Captain?" Mari asked as she held out the device toward him, "I’m going to take some blood samples while you scan them. With the data we collect together we can hopefully get a better idea with what we are dealing with.”
Apparently, I made too many characters. Here they are:

Wilfred would look at the living decay in front of him. His own concerned expression hidden behind his helms dust filter. He breathed in deeply and sighed as he took a step forward "I am willing to donate my own blood to the cause. If it can help." he said as he felt his own heart jump up a few beats and cold sweat already start to form on his neck. He swallowed "not...all of it though..."
