Proceeding with the briefing, the Hauptmann reached to one stack of paperwork and procured from it's depths a sealed file. Bearing a number identical to #28's.
The file was opened in a particular place, the Page still carried the scent of fresh ink. A detailed Report on the Incident and Tribunal. "Unit's Training includes 'Arts of Knowledge', base intelligence is supposed to be higher than average.
Inquiry: Why was the Quartemaster's Order Misinterpreted and Miscarried?
Additional Inquiry: Change of Eyecolour was reported during Tribunal. Mutation? Connection to Medicae incident?"

Delayed Unit Hospitaller Marilyn Valentine to best of units capabilities. Unit did not back down. Unit was armed, #28 defended themselves from future hostility.” In other words, self-preservation. He proceeded to the second question. “Result of failure of fully reverting to Units previous mindset during reinduction to the Korp.

And here before him, sat a so-called 'Krieger', who despite passing a specialised course on Krieg to increase intellectual and cognitive capability, used this as the excuse to his actions. #9453/1-101 truly did not know who to blame other than himself for prolonging this miserable being's existence. Granted, he was not present during the questioning of the Unit right after the incident, and could not know that this massive amount of Brain Cortex Degradation could be sustainable nor that this unit was defective from the very start; hence this mutation.
Actually; #1-101 theorised that the 554th did not know that as well so the responsibility is shared. And will be reported.
Hauptmann #9453/1-101 continued dispensing the undeniable and obvious truth. A Unit may believe it's actions were good and proper. A Unit may be told of their mistake but a Unit will make a similar mistake using the same defective logic unless corrected.

"Discrepancy: Hostile Action cannot be considered neither as 'Defence against future Hostility', nor as a preemptive strike against an enemy; Hospitallier Unit Valentine did not present an immediate threat, Unit Valentine is not an enemy of the Imperium. Unit Valentine is inefficiently zealous; as expected from an Adepta Sororitas. A Krieg Unit could understand it, Unit #28 did not.

Consequently: Deliberate fire on armed allies by the criteria of them being armed as an attempt at halting their current activity is counter-productive, illogical, violation of a direct order from High Command issued by Senior Commissar Holt.

Counter-Example: Unit States the Order, Unit States the issuing Officer, Unit Complies to the order by blocking Hospitallier Unit Approach, Unit does not attack the Hospitallier by either ranged nor melee weapons unless physically provoked.

Inquiries: Does Unit #28 familiar with the rules of 'Conflict Escalation'? Does Unit #28 Understands it made an error?"

Was it a staring contest between the two? If so, then #9453/1-101 was winning against the soulless respirator mask.
But very unlikely that it was the intention behind this emotionless, penetrating stare; for there was none at all, this is the natural expression expected from a Krieger.

Affirma—” The Krieger hesitated... Then continued. “Affirmative. Unit #28 is aware that they have made an error.

At least he confirms that the mistake was made; Not all is lost.
If there's the chance, even the smallest, that this unit can be redeemable; #9453/1-101 will work with it. How?

"Clarification: This transfer is not a Reward, This Transfer is correction and punishment of erroneous and defective conduct. Unit will not meet, talk, or interact with Scout Unit #9453/8-316 in any way. Exception: Active Combat Deployment and Prior Clearance."

Carrot and Stick.

"Unit #28-D-0715 will not be a welcome sight among non-Kriegers, hampering attempts at Inter-Regimental Relations Improvement for the near future.
Issuing New Unit Number in adherence to 9453/554th Company regulations: New Unit Designated Number #9453/5001-214,
Rank; Soldat - Private."

#9453/1-101 leaned back in his chair, and pulled a drawer in the desk. From it, he removed a few thin, paperback books and placed them on the table in-front of the recruit but most importantly were the newly minted Ident-Tags; one in the boot, one to be worn around the neck, and one to be stamped on the Armour. His Index Finger still leaning on the stack, pointing at it.

"Unit is expected to know and act upon this Information. Unit will be tested by its NCO for conduct. Does the Unit understand?"

Out of Johannes peripheral vision.. Their fists curled, popped and cracked. Was this an indiciation that they dissapproved? Or was it just harmless satisfaction of the noise..? Before the Captain could guess, Drocol replied, “Affirmative.

What #101 could not see, he could hear. While Observation was a strong thing among Kriegers, The Hauptmann had the benefit of understanding intuition; the movement had no logical basis, it was an outburst of masked pain.
He knew he hit something important. Good, that can be used.

Now for the Carrot:
"New Ident-Number was delivered to the 554th Krieg, the Medicae Tent Personnel, Administratum Valmaria for recording. #214 has regained its anonymity on base, provided they keep the Respirator Mask on at all times."

All done now but to proceed with the rest of the newly recruited soldiers' assignments.
"Unit will report to the following Units to ensure integration:
Quartermaster Unit #37-103, to be refitted with 945th Krieg Regimental Kit.
Medic Unit #49-217, for full medical re-evaluation.
Watchmaster Unit #72-211, is the Unit's direct commanding Officer.
Issuing Permits."
#9453/1-101 tore a page in half and gave one part to Drocol, it contained 3 orders to the mentioned Units respectively the other half was a copy left in the Personal File

"Dismissed."

There was nothing else for the Recuit here, or so #9453/1-101 made it appear. The Hauptmann deposited the File to the 'Processed' Paperwork Stack, pulled a fresh paperwork assignment and continued to his own work; ignoring the Soldat's further Presence: It had Orders.

After gathering the items the Captain gave them, they tucked the books under their arm. Then they rose and headed for the door. Knowing full well that time here is over. Without a word, they leaves the office..

Without stopping the rhythm of the pen, the Hauptmann pushed a button under the desk; signalling a proverbial 'bookmark' in the daily Voice Recording. He will label this section; from the moment the recruit knocked on the door until 3 minutes from his departure, at the end of the day.
Until then: He has much to do.

Unteroffizer Johann Schultz,
Transferred again

"Emperor dammit." Johann thought as he entered the headquarters of the 554th Battalion, 9453rd Company. This was the second unit transfer he had since he got here, the first unit he was with was almost completely destroyed in combat and the second simply disappeared one day. For all he knew they were transferred back to their homeworld and he was left here to die for the Emperor. Johann looked upon the door of the CO, Johannes Wyss, and hesitantly knocked on the door.

"Entry Granted"

The Captain of the 9453rd Death Korps was not entirely pleased being the commander of the dump company. But perhaps he brought it upon himself when suggesting to reassign the last problematic Unit to his company, no matter; he will have more personnel to under his command, thus increasing the effective fighting personnel; Better under him then under Keegan.
But displeasure at such affairs should not be shown to the troops.

The Office in which he was working was in the setting arranged for interrogating new arrivals without the need to be cordial with them, which is almost entirely unaltered:
Dim Lighting, Claustrophobic composition to maximise efficiency and worst of all; an unmasked Krieger bearing the rank of a Captain sitting at the desk.

His piercing gaze borrowed into the new arrival's face, attempting to discern what type of a soldier it is using the presented Facial and Body language, The Merciful Judgement of the God Emperor seems so much preferable right now.

"Corporal Unit Schultz, Welcome to the 9453rd Company."
And here is the limit of cordial behaviour #1-101 could spare to the recruit.
"Commencing Briefing: Unit Schultz has yet to exhibit combat leadership, consequently command duties cannot be issued. Unit Schultz will be temporarily demoted to Obergefreither -Lance Corporal until further evaluation.
Addendum: Unit Shultz will be issued a number in adherence to the standards of the 9453rd Company, Unit Schultz will primarily refer to itself as this number during Combat and Interactions with 554th Krieg Personnel. Interactions with non Krieg Personnel are to be constricted to approved hours and held up to standard to increase Inter-Regimental Cooperation.
Is that clear?"

Impassiveness and ripping out individual identities are defining traits of the Death Korps. Not showing it is simply bad manners.

Obergefrieter Johann Schultz,
Cpt. Wyss's Office

Johann did his best to push the uncomfortable feelings to the back of his mind as he was briefed on the accepted behaviors and protocol by his new commanding officer. He knew that the Death Korps had no personality or even identity, but this was well beyond what he and his former comrades could have fathomed or made up. "I have truly landed in hell." Johann thought as he nodded and replied with the standard "Yes, sir. I understand, sir." To make matters more undesirable, Johann found himself docked several ranks, despite the years of service he had under his belt, not that he was going to let the Captain know that, as any form of insubordination could easily land him on the business end of a Laspistol. "Sir, what is this unit's first assignment?" Johann said, almost too eager to leave the captian's piercing gaze and his office's claustrophobic environment.

Obergefriether Unit #224 (formerly Johann Schultz)

"Yes sir, Unit #224 understands fully and will execute orders to the best of my abilities." Johann said, fully realizing what a mess he was in now, and unfortunately, this wasn't really the mess he could transfer out of as the only way to transfer out of the Death Korps was if you had an obituary signed by the Emperor himself. "What is the location of Units #49-227, #37-103, and #72-221? Also, what equipment would you, personally, consider unnecessary?"

Johann knew that his new C/O received a copy of his equipment list along with his transfer papers, and there was part of him that wanted to know how the equipment used by the Grenadiers stacked up against those of the Death Korps.

#224 is still an outsider, and the labyrinthine works of the Death Korps Compound were labyrinthine for a reason, so the nonexistent sense of direction was expected and thus tolerated for now.

With a few useful pointings with his fingers the Hauptmann gave directions
"Elaboration: Unit #227 is in 2nd Platoon Medicae Quarters. Unit #103 is in Quartermaster Office. Unit #221 is in 2nd Platoon Quarters. Approach Units in this order to maximise time efficiency. Unnecessary Equipment includes outdated Uniform, Armour, Weaponry, any other non-regimental equipment. Personal effects without operational use or possess attachment will remain within the Company for safekeeping.

"Addendum: With completion of immediate assignments, Unit will be issued with designated free time. Recommendation: Study Compound Layout for sense of direction, Consult Medicae Unit December Dryden of platoon 19, Company "D" on psychological coping with integration into Death Korps regiments. Any Additional inquiries?"

Obergefreither Unit #224

"No sir." Johann said, gathering up his papers and tucking them neatly into his copy of his personnel file. "Is this unit dismissed?"

Obergefreither Unit #224

Johann exited his COs office unsure if he should feel dread, despair, or excitement. His old life had seemingly been wiped away with the stroke of a pen, and even if he did survive the remainder of his deployment on this planed, he doubted his CO would be obliged to send him back home. So with a heavy hearted sigh, Unit #224 exited the headquarters and moved out towards his assigned objectives.

This conversation, as all the others, was recorded and catalogued for future reference.
The Personal File will be rewritten, as much of a low standard the Death Korps can live with, bad records is where the line is drawn. Unit #9453/5-103 can take care of copying the details into a more readable form.
Now it falls upon the Hauptmann and the company as a whole to maintain their effectiveness and ensure the full integration of the newly added trooper, however unorthdox its reassigment was made.

[[Start Scene]]

Hospitaller Advance Marilyn Valentine longed for a chance to go to the frontlines if nothing more but to feel a smidge of what she felt as a Sister of Battle. She knew her role but combat always called to her. She volunteered for every chance to go out into the field but she has yet to go. The recent incident in the tent hadn't helped matters either. When she was told that not only was she called for a matter outside of the Medicae Ward but also asked for specifically, a choir of excitement sang in her heart. The fact that the summons came from Krieg Command didn't bother her until she neared their compound. The buildings oozed grim and dour to a point that it affected her spirits. It was also during this trip that she noticed just how many of them there are. It was rare for her to be anywhere but the Ward, church, and the workshop which were all places Krieg rarely visit. Krieg prefers to have the Quartermasters settle their medicae care, the Grenadier being one of the few anomalies, so this was easily the most she has ever seen before. She never realized that there were several that wore different colors than the rest. Different regiments perhaps? All of this made her realize how serious this must be if they called upon her, especially after the incident.

Mari was efficiently brought through the various gates and checkpoints until she came upon a heavy metal door. On a plaque was the man she was supposed to see: Captain Johannes Wyss of the 9453/554th Krieg Death Korps. She knocked on the door, a metallic clanging doorbell announcing her arrival.
Apparently, I made too many characters. Here they are:
