"Room for one more?" A voice asked. Its owner approached the group, stopping before Sergeant Ackerman and saluting lightly. "Corporal Blackburn, resporting for duty." The Illisian's dark beige uniform had a light layer of grime on it already, though his gunmetal-grey flak armor appeared near-spotless. Perhaps the most noticeable feature on Abram was his backpack, a large, cumbersome and rectangular hunk of metal, with a smaller box locked onto the bottom, and a drum magazine locked onto another side, facing to the left for ease of aquirement. He lowered the salute, his hands, wearing some sort of poor attempt at gloves, now resting upon the top of his autogun.

Scouts usually operate far from the main force, therefore giving it the duty of running after allied forces patching them up is one counter productive effort, even if it may be better at doing so. It is simply replacing one superb soldier with a acceptable one, nevertheless the Krieg Scout received the additional Kit and Responsibility.

In the Transport, #8-316 checked its issued weaponry and contents of the bag: Bandages, Rubbing Alcohol, Field Sutures, Detox and Anesthetics. Pretty Standard though their actual usefulness may be limited by the user's own skills.

Abram climbed into the back of the vehicle, not really having a preference to where he sat. The Illisian carefully pulled his backpack off, allowing it to rest on his lap, the autogun between it and himself. He hummed the melody of 'Largo al Inquisitore' (an aria written years ago to quell the suspicion his homeworld's elite had of the visiting inquisitorial retinues through comical light), drumming his fingers against the top of the pack to keep tempo. Though he attempted to keep himself from taking up too much space, the large pack made it quite difficult, and he was relegated to pushing his back as far towards the wall of the transport in a rather uncomfortable sitting position. He made the most of it, continuing his hum as he moved his hands from the pack, preparing his autogun with the drum magazine after removing it from its locked position.

Wilfred would shrug as the trooper walked away from him. He felt that he would have to apologize later. Nothing a beer wont fix hopefully. For now focus on the mission. Pulling himself up towards the back end of the transport he would undo the buckling on his pack and places it onto his side for easy access. Moving his heavy stubber onto his lap Opening the latch "Allrighty everyone. late candlemass presents here. I got power packs and a few ration bars, Ill need them back for recharge at the end of the patrol." he said as he leaned forward a bit. "so who needs what?" looking out at the group. an arm inside his pack ready to pass out what he can if needed.

"I'll take a warpaint." Sergeant Ackerman walked around the back of the truck, stepped up onto the bed, and took a ration bar from Sergeant Manner, too. "I see everyone's here. We've got a long ride ahead of us and, if this hunk of groxdung won't break down, we should arrive at the ruins in around one hour." Ackerman stepped out of the bed and banged on it, signaling Paxton to start the engine. Opening the ration bar's wrapping, he tore a chunk off and began to chew it as he slung his gear into the passenger seat of the transport and slid in. "Let's get going, Paxton." Ackerman opened his pack and pulled out the map of the ruins to navigate for Paxton. He slid two charge packs into his Merovech Lascarbine and took another bite out of the ration bar as the Paxton began the drive.

[[Just some information on how I'd like to organize things. For scenarios, I will explain the surroundings and factors at play in a post and each person will respond with what their character is doing. I'll be trying some things to see what works best. I advise that you say how you will be doing something (Ex. Quickly, stealthily, forcefully, etc) because that will change the outcome. Once everyone has made a response, I will post what the outcome of everyone's actions is. In this same post, the process will repeat by me explaining the new surroundings and factors at play. Also, I may or may not tell you the difficulties needed to succeed on rolls. Sorry for such a gap between posts!]]

Starting the engine with a prayer, Paxton was concerned to hear a rattling screamer as the truck idled. The machine spirit didn't seem to appreciate Fin's comment that much. As the sergeant hoped in the cab, the two Valhallans already occupying it shuffled over to make room for the nco. Between that large sergeant and the larger corporal, it was a tight squeeze for everyone. As the truck drove off, Paxton leaned as best he could to address Finbarr. "If it isn't a bother, could you reframe from harsh comments on the vehicle's state? Machine spirits have feelings to you know?"

The scout-turned-half-medic's checkup of her kit was interrupted by the sergeant's 'Late Candlemas' which save for the completely unimportant and thus ignorable sting brought bt the last word, was understandable it was in fact a sergeant giving handouts. Truly a disgraceful behaviour unfitting for an NCO of the Imperial Guard, utterly lacking respect to the hard work of the Departmento Munitorum's sacred mechanisms to construct and ship this piece of equipment across the galaxy only for it to be given away freely and not issued as per protocol...

...Erika stuffed her vacant ammunition pouches with 2 Laspistol type Charge Packs. The Guardsman is a Guardsman, is a Guardsman.

[[Erika Gained: Two (2) Laspistol Charge Packs.]]

Thruhout the trip, the Kriegerin's respirator Lenses were trained on the road behind them, spotting for ambushes.

Erika is Looking for Hostiles.

Wilfred would take a moment to step out of the truck giving its side a loving pat with his left hand. Listening to Ackerman give out his orders before nodding and stepping forward. "given the fact Im about as stealthy as a grox in a glass shop" he said as he gave a knock onto his own carapace "So Ill be rear guarding until things get hot." he would then gesture at his own heavy stubber "Now I dont want to hit anyone. So to stop that from happening here's what going to happen. Before I open fire I will call out the phrase Cover this gives you exactly three point five seconds to get your ass into cover. Either get flat on the ground or out of the way." he would think for a moment or two. "An' if we go underground. Ill take point from there." He said calmly "Alrighty. Lets go." he said as he placed his helm onto his head. buckling it into place. +Vox check.+

"Sir." The Krieg Unit said as it voiced its concerns: "Directives Contradict. Explaination: This Unit is designated for scouting and remote operations; it was given role of Medicae by Sergeant Unit Ackermann, neccessiating minimal distance from formation. Requesting assigment of role priority."

Thomas "Geordie" Armstrong
68th Durham Fusiliers

Thomas stepped down out of the truck, he hadn't said much at the muster point and had quietly climbed into the transport. He un-slung his stubber and checked the working mechanism; oiled and ready. He slung it back over his shoulder and drew his autopistol, grabbing one of the pro-offered silencers he screwed it into place. He was a heavy gunner by trade, this stealth nonsense just confused him. Still, should the team need heavy support he'd be ready.

He smiled as they headed to wards the subway entrance, he was from Durham, he'd spent most of his life underground. He would be well at ease fighting with a roof over his head.

He signaled he was ready as he took position near the entrance to the subway.

"Breach on your mark Sar'nt" he said as the Sergeant approached.
Doing the work of the Emperor is its own reward.

Though the structure is spacious, it leads to places too tight for the use of a long las, favouring close quarters combat and daring breach operations emphasising shock and overwhelming speed, both achievable with proper field intel gathered by scouts in order to avoid ambushes.

The Krieg Scout slung back the heavy weapon and tightly attached it to its backpack; instead, a fearsome assault Laspistol was drawn. The weapon's muzzle swept across the area following the wielder's quick and methodical scanning.

The Kriegerin lowered its profile like a spring ready for action and carefully closed in on the corpses, watching them for booby traps and then the corridors. The Unit crouched to identify the dead's allegiance and hopefully secure any resources they won't be in need of.

A low whistle came from the respirator grills followed by a short wave to catch the attention of those present.

*To Watch: Around-Stationary. To Protect: Vehicle* it gestured in war signs, asking to establish an anchoring perimeter.
*I. Will go: Forward. To Clear: Ways, one-by-one*
The patrol was not limited by time, and could act carefully in order to secure the best positions.

#8-316 took position next to the hallways entrance, awaiting the signal to proceed after perimeter is established.
