Grenadiers are a sort of 'specialist' Rank, the entitled shock troops and heavy hitters of a regiment - think stormtroopers, only with less certification, and more balls. Though, i honestly don't know if the PDF would have Grenadiers, at least, for an Agri-world PDF.

Grenadier is something Frakfrak named themselves, they like grenades. Basically, Frakfrak heard "grenadier" and thought "I have have grenades... I guess I'm a grenadier!" and has been putting that on every official document since.

Hm, reading that sheet, you do realise we're not like Nattick's gang?
I mean folk can have their own reasons for joining up, but the PDF is primarily there as a barrier for the people between the tau and the IG.

I know we aren't in Nattick's gang, but wouldn't it make sense for the PDF to force those from the masses with the most combat experience to join in the case of invasion? It would also make sense for those individuals to be more interested in themselves than anything, while still feeling loyalty to their home.

It was the self serving/profiteering attitude that I'd say was more akin to the RT/Nattick gangs.
I've no quibble with a trained/weaponised background.

If it's low key, fair enough. But if there's significant money being made or any large amount of xeno tech being handled, it endangers the population living with the PDF. I'd suggest that be handled at the Naris black market, rather than within skipping distance of the barracks.

Right, I've pondered on it and I think I will do a neighbourhood friendly, good cop character for our little band. Though what do you guys think is the better/more appropriate/cooler rank/title: Freelance Constable or Armed Constabulary?

Armed Constabular sounds better.

Freelance Constable sounds like 40K version of rent-a-cop.

keep it simple and just stick to constable, its an agri world afterall, prolly don't like dem fancy titles round dem parts

Cheers for the feed back everyone, free lance constable does sound a little odd. I think the Armed Constabular would be more like the official title which nobody usually bothers with whilst constable or 'bobby' (or whatever other reference a character might chose to use) would be the alternative if people didn't know him by name.

My idea for the titles was more or less to highlight the policing situation in Naris. Armed constabulary is simply suppose to state how the law enforcers of Naris have been armed and mobilised with the PDF whilst freelance constable just states that there isn't really any form of law enforcement left.
